Favorite thing about being a graduate student at Miami:  Participating in the Graduate School's Truth and Reconciliation Project, which involved a spring break trip to Birmingham, Alabama and then presenting at the National Civil Rights Conference in June 2019 about our grassroots community-university partnership.

Simran has been instrumental in planning and promoting the events for Black History Month along with taking action on other programming goals for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. She interacts with colleagues with professionalism, humor, and grace.”
